Michael Jin is the Analyst on the Business Advisory and Private Capital team. In this role, he supports intergenerational families on their closely held business assets and completes due diligence on private equity opportunities. Prior to joining Balentine, he worked as a Principal for JRE Investments and as a Summer Analyst for Rubenstein Partners. Michael earned a BBA in Finance from Emory University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech.

Why did you choose to come to work at Balentine?

I choose to work at Balentine because of the people and the culture. The firm has an amazing collaborative culture combined with a strong and knowledgeable team that I am looking forward to working with.

What inspires you to come to work each day?

The quest to learn something new is what brings me to work each day. Every day at Balentine is different and full of learn opportunities.

What do you like to do in your down time away from work?

I enjoy travelling, skiing, and playing golf.

What is your favorite sport or activity? Why?

My favorite sport is Golf, because it is a sport dedicated to consistency. Everyone will have a good shot a couple times around, but the key to scoring low is through consistency which is something I enjoy about the sport.
