A 25-year veteran of the financial services industry, Jon brings deep expertise in helping clients align their financial strategies with their goals, mission, and values, ensuring their wealth serves both their lives today and their legacy for generations to come.

Jon’s career has been defined by a commitment to client partnership and purposeful planning. Before joining Balentine, he built and led a single-family office for the founder of a successful technology business, overseeing every aspect of the family’s financial affairs, from investment strategy and trust and estate planning to tax, philanthropy, and governance. Earlier in his career, Jon spent 15 years with AllianceBernstein and Bank of New York Mellon, where he honed his skills in developing customized investment and planning strategies tailored to families’ unique objectives.

At Balentine, Jon partners with relationship managers to deliver the firm’s holistic suite of wealth management services: simplifying complex financial lives, coordinating across advisors, and guiding families through major transitions such as liquidity events, business exits, and legacy planning. Known for his steady leadership and client-first mindset, Jon helps ensure that each family’s strategy reflects not only their assets but also their aspirations.

Jon is a CFA® Charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Science from Wingate University and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Florida Atlantic University. A lifelong athlete, he was inducted into the Saint Edward’s School Athletic Hall of Fame for his achievements in football, soccer, and lacrosse, where he earned All-American honors. He later captained the lacrosse team at Wingate University, earning multiple All-Conference honors. For a decade, Jon continued to share his love of the sport as a coach for Atlanta Travel Lacrosse, mentoring young athletes in teamwork, perseverance, and leadership. Today, these qualities continue to shape his approach to collaboration at Balentine and his commitment to exceptional client service.
